OC Global Technology Receives Two Recognitions at Malaysia Digital Economy Forum 10.0 in Sabah
OC Global Technology Sdn. Bhd. received two recognitions from the Malaysia Digital Chamber of Commerce at the 10th Malaysia Digital Economy Forum, held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
A Closed-Door Pre-Forum Session in Kota Kinabalu
The trip began a day earlier with the Pre-Forum Session of the Malaysia Digital Economy Forum 2026 — a closed-door, invitation-only dialogue held on 10 August 2026 at the KPSTI Digital & IoT Sandbox, Level 12, Wisma Bandaraya, Kota Kinabalu.
The session was a dialogue with international keynote speaker Anthony KC Leung from Hong Kong SAR, organised by MDCC with support from KPSTI and Sabah Net (SNAT).
Discussions covered quantum computing threats and opportunities, Web3 and AI ethics in education and talent development, Web3-based digital identity for trusted management, IP-based fan economies across arts, sports, tourism and expo, and regenerative finance (ReFi) for sustainability.
Malaysia Digital Economy Forum 10.0 at ITCC Sabah
The main forum followed on 11 August 2026 at ITCC Sabah, bringing together government representatives, industry leaders and technology companies from across Malaysia and the region.
The day opened with registration and a networking lunch, where our team sat with delegates from across the Sabah business and technology community before the programme began.
The programme ran across five panels covering blue economy and digital transformation, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, cybersecurity and digital resilience, digital tourism and smart destinations, and the new digital visitor economy.
Speaking on Cybersecurity and Digital Resilience
OC Global Technology was represented on Panel 3 — Cybersecurity and Digital Resilience, moderated by Ron Chong. The panel addressed securing Malaysia's digital economy, with a focus on cyber resilience for government, SMEs and critical services.
Our Chief Innovation Officer, Mohamad Fazuan Bin Mohd Wafat, joined fellow panellists from government and industry to discuss the practical realities of building resilient systems for organisations that do not operate on enterprise-scale security budgets.

During the awards presentation, OC Global Technology Sdn. Bhd. received two recognitions from the Malaysia Digital Chamber of Commerce:
- MDCC Lifetime Corporate Membership — awarded to OC Global Technology Sdn. Bhd.
- The 10th Malaysia Digital Economy Forum Award 2026: Next-Generation Digital Engagement Excellence Award — presented to Lim Choon Meng, OC Global Technology Sdn. Bhd.
We see both recognitions as an endorsement of the direction our team has taken across software development, AI-driven systems and digital platform engineering — and as a responsibility to keep raising that standard.
On the Exhibition Floor
Alongside the forum programme, our team hosted an exhibition booth throughout the day, meeting delegates from government, industry and the Sabah technology community.
Both recognitions sat on the table for the rest of the day, next to a running product showcase and three QR channels: LinkedIn, feedback and career interest, and software development consultation.
The booth gave us a direct channel to walk visitors through what we build — custom software development, AI-driven systems and digital platforms — and to hear first-hand which problems businesses in East Malaysia are trying to solve.
